Plaid — Fireside

Tartan for the whole house, from crisp to weathered.

Plaid is the pattern December keeps coming back to: on ribbon, on blankets, on the flannel by the door. There are four designs. Noel is the classic red and green. Cardinal keeps to a single colour. Sweep is painted in loose brushstrokes, and Weathered is its muted, worn-in counterpart.

Choose four, six or eight. A set of four can hold one of each, and larger sets let you double up on the ones you'll reach for most.

For the slow days between Christmas and New Year, the cabin weekend, and the family who will argue over who gets Cardinal.

One of each, or a few extra Cardinals for the ones who'll ask.
